Love my Ahmoh
For many reasons, Joey & I were on survival mode during the month of November. We're so glad it's December!
Our nanny went to China for a month, & my sister came to watch baby for 3 1/2 weeks.

Ode to the banana & other updates
We have to hide the bananas now...
she's goes ga-ga and starts asking demanding for her "ba!" if she sees them...
I also let her try raspberries, but she seemed puzzled by them...
At Korean Sabbath School...
It grosses me out when she sticks keys in her mouth...
Daily walk & picking fall leaves with Alice...
The 'helmet head/Elvis presley' hair style has got to go...I must schedule a hair cut at Little Kuts asap.
Other than that, here's a quick update for me:

Other than that, here's a quick update for me:~I have 2 possible job opportunities, but I gotta stay at my current job till maternity leave next Spring.
~Trying to study for my licensing exams, but why am I having such a hard time finding a mere 4-6 hours a week to study?
~14 weeks pregnant & so far so good. Passed the NT test (down syndrome, trisomy 13) with flying colors. Some days I can sleep 12 hours STRAIGHT. Hmm, maybe this is why I can't study?=P
~Just booked our Seattle tickets for Thanksgiving. I'm off for 6 days! Looking forward to seeing family & grub on my aunt's cooking.
~Wish I could take Becca to a pumpkin patch...is there one in LA area?

In the waiting room of my doctor's office
I've often wondered if it made a difference (to my developing baby) what stage of life I was in.
Did it matter if I was 25? 33? Did it matter if I was in peak physical health? Emotional? Spiritual? I often found myself daydreaming about the possibilities.
I read a recent article in Time magazine, that talked about just this.
It was fascinating. Click here to read the article: http://www.time.com/time/health/article/0,8599,2020815,00.html

Home is where the heart is
"What is the baby doing these days?" I'm asked.
"Is she walking?" is the most popular question lately. Just started, thank you very much. 9/14, to be exact. I've made a habit of counting the number of steps she takes....and she went up to T-W-E-L-V-E. I was so proud! Although, crawling is still more efficient for her:).
" And what does she say?" Here are a few: Wow. Me, me. Mommy. Mamma. Papeyah and papaysoh ("precious" "clapping" in Mandarin). Sheh sheh (Thank you). Umma & appah. Mung mung. And today-- ABC!
I wish I could take her swimming again. This was back in Portland, at my mom's condo.
I had her in the water for 3 hours and she absolutely loved it. My friend Paula & her 1-year-old Aveary joined us. Aveary showed off a thing or two--this 1-year old can blow bubbles under water, kick, and jump into the pool. It was like watching a science experiment!
Lately, I've been going a little batty. For about a week now, Rebecca's been inconsolable @ night for 1-2 hours, flailing, screaming, and nothing will work. I'm so exhausted by it. I tried giving her milk (which usually ALWAYS works), checking the temp, taking her outside, rocking/bouncing her, pushing out the gas....and nothing. Our nanny thinks it she is spooked/scared. Others have said it was gas, others teething. I'm not convinced, bc it's still going on and nothing seems to comfort her. Parents--any ideas??? I desperately need to get some sleep again...
