Rebecca's Dohl

Our baby turned one on June 29. That just blows me away. There is probably no other one-year period that will alter my life as much as this past year did.

So here it is, from the beginning. Rebecca's dohl. I don't remember spending half this much time on my own wedding reception. Sheesh.

I recruited help.

Party photos commence! Much thanks to my brother-in-law, David. Dohljabi table and quizzesI asked one of the many talented artists at our church to paint faces

Time consuming DIY project, but worth itHunted high & low for pink barber straws Edible Delights made the tower (on left) for the party. I loved it! Another time consuming DIY decorating project
Still googling for the name of these furry green flowers...

Becca's friend Kelly
I can't remember much of the day, it was such a blur
I do remember that she came in full-party mode: well fed, and well slept. Thanks to grandmas & grandpa.
The family gathered from all over: NYC, SF, Portland, Redding
Because every guest of honor needs an outfit change (thanks Anne!)

She resembles a 4-legged creature here, doesn't she?
Look ma!

Junie, our youth pastor. She's pretty awesome.

Our next door neighbor, Alice. Nanny Alice has allowed us a few dinners out here & there. Lucky for us, Alice & Becca are equally smitten with each other.

Babysitters galore. From left to right: Kiwon, Joy, Monica, & Jen.
This is where the hair starts to get funky
It's my party...
and I'll... definitely cry if I want to
All better
This video's for you baby. Maybe one day in the future, when you're 17 and we've just had a huge fight, I will pull it out and remind myself of simpler times. Happy birthday, baby girl.(Beware, it's 10 minutes long!)
