Thanksgiving 2010

This is the view from my eemoh's backyard in Edmonds, WA This was the snow the morning after we arrived. The night before, we had hiked the final 2 blocks to the house due to icy road conditions. No one was sure if we'd even make it up there. I'm especially thankful that we did safely. Here, the 2 grandmas & their granddaughters.Leaf hunting in front of the house
Leaves make her strangely happy
Outfit (shirt, leggings, & boots) courtesy of H&M outlet. Cheap & cute!
Random family pics

This is pretty much what we did for 5 days. Stuff our faces, baby included. My eemoh is of the more-is-always-better camp.
New coat from my eemoh. Haha! She liked it after it was on, I promise.
Bath time w/cousin Ella
I contemplated posting this photo of her, but what the heck.
Getting ready for Thanksgiving
I had 3 versions of the next photo, and Joey's hand was blurry in them b/c he's praying (maybe only Gina will understand this?)
Bed head #1Bed head #2
Bed head #3. Mama stealing a quick kiss.
Cousins, just 1 month apart
My cousin-in-law is due just 2 weeks after me w/baby #2. Our kids couldn't have been closer in age if we had planned it. Super chilly hike nearby their home
Which led to Meadowdale beach
It was freezing but she didn't seem to mind

Random amusing photo
The grandparents did a lot of babysitting this week. We spent a glorious 5 hours at the newly owned Bella Luna korean spa. We did our own ddeh mee ree=).
We did a lot of this too
Last stop was @ Microsoft, where my cousin John works
The Visitor's Center has a museum of oldies...including an Atari like the one Joey used to own
Played some fun games while were were there
One of the terminals @ SeaTac Airport...apparently part of a program for children who lost their parents on 9/11
Until next time, Family....it was grand & I miss you already

Love my Ahmoh

For many reasons, Joey & I were on survival mode during the month of November. We're so glad it's December!
Our nanny went to China for a month, & my sister came to watch baby for 3 1/2 weeks.

She stayed home every day of those 3 1/2 weeks. I told her that it would drive me crazy.

She sent me 20-30 pictures of the baby every day at work. I miss this.

They had good times together. R learned to say "Ahmoh" (eemoh). Thank you Ahmoh! R loves you. She still calls for you in "your room."

The best things in life are free

I bet Joey that he couldn't dig up a family photo...
in the 4 months preceding this one..
even more than taking my daughter to the Aquarium......I was there to get that family photo
getting free tickets for 'non-profit-days' was just the icing on the cake
Dancing or posing? You better believe she threw a fit...
...when we dragged her away from the rays
Wishing she didn't have to leave

Ode to the banana & other updates

We have to hide the bananas now...
she's goes ga-ga and starts asking demanding for her "ba!" if she sees them...
the other day I decided to be nice and let her eat it all by herself...
this was the response...
Here's the little rascal playing "dress up". She saw me trying on my new clothes ($5 a piece from Miss Me sample sale!), and started copying me...
I also let her try raspberries, but she seemed puzzled by them...
At Korean Sabbath School...
It grosses me out when she sticks keys in her mouth...
Daily walk & picking fall leaves with Alice...
The 'helmet head/Elvis presley' hair style has got to go...I must schedule a hair cut at Little Kuts asap.
Other than that, here's a quick update for me:
~I have 2 possible job opportunities, but I gotta stay at my current job till maternity leave next Spring.
~Trying to study for my licensing exams, but why am I having such a hard time finding a mere 4-6 hours a week to study?
~14 weeks pregnant & so far so good. Passed the NT test (down syndrome, trisomy 13) with flying colors. Some days I can sleep 12 hours STRAIGHT. Hmm, maybe this is why I can't study?=P
~Just booked our Seattle tickets for Thanksgiving. I'm off for 6 days! Looking forward to seeing family & grub on my aunt's cooking.
~Wish I could take Becca to a pumpkin patch...is there one in LA area?

In the waiting room of my doctor's office

I've often wondered if it made a difference (to my developing baby) what stage of life I was in.
Did it matter if I was 25? 33? Did it matter if I was in peak physical health? Emotional? Spiritual? I often found myself daydreaming about the possibilities.

I read a recent article in Time magazine, that talked about just this.

It was fascinating. Click here to read the article: http://www.time.com/time/health/article/0,8599,2020815,00.html
