Pregnancy, Week 39

~ I've had a recent foretaste of what being homebound with an infant is going to be like. I've had a cold for a week now, a strange mix of pregnancy and cold symptoms. Heartburn?-- pregnancy. Runny nose and hacking phlegm?--cold. Headaches?--could be either. My doctor's going to prescribe antibiotics on Thursday if it's not gone by then. I'm just praying I'm not sick when I deliver this baby!!

~Speaking of which, Joey thinks she'll be early. I think she'll be late, July 1, to be specific. Any takers on when she'll arrive? (I've only had Braxton-Hicks contractions 1x, about 2 weeks ago. I am not dilated at all.)

~We finally agreed on a name=). I didn't think I'd end up w/one so traditional, but Joey vetoed all my 'weird' 'trendy' names. It's probably a good thing.

~I don't know why, but I've frequently thought to myself "this would be so difficult as a single parent." Joey's been amazing & so attentive throughout this whole experience. I love my husband.

~Joey's office has been partially converted into a nursery. We're ready for you baby!!

2009 Health Fair

Besides preparing for PUC campmeeting, LWF was involved in a huge local project this past month. This 2009 year was our inaugural health fair, sponspored by 2 SDA churches, various hospitals, the Korea Daily, [and lots of other people willing to give time & money]. Joey practically slept at the Korea Daily that last week.

We all prayed fervently for the rain to clear up by Saturday...and God answered our prayers! The weather could not have been better:

The Korea Daily estimated around 2000 people showed up that day, of Hispanic and Korean attendees. Two women even discovered they were pregnant!

A Blessed Weekend

What a whirlwind weekend. It's Friday, and I'm barely catching breath...whew! On May 16, Joey celebrated a big milestone in his life, getting ordained:

I didn't know what to expect, but the service was actually very meaningful, touching, and a blessing.

I started reminiscing to when I first met Joey, & how he has spiritually impacted my life since our college days.

At the end, Joey gave his response...and all us Oh women were in tears. There's only one other time that Joey has gotten this *ahem* emotional during a talk, & that was the last weekend before he left for Andrews. It was definitely a personally stirring moment for him.

The very next day, our sisters & friends threw us a baby shower! My dear friend Jeannie drove out from Vegas to plan this event as well.

My cousin-in-law, Sonia, is expecting a baby girl too, just 2 months after us!
